Deep Dives
A deep dive takes one subject all the way down. Each one has two halves. Theory explains how the thing works. Practice explains what to do about it. I keep each deep dive alive and update it as my understanding improves.
I write so a fifth grader can follow. A reader may be missing vocabulary, not intelligence. I define each hard word, then use it for real. I do not avoid the word or make the idea smaller.
I want to understand each subject well enough to act on it. Then I want you to have the same understanding, so you can act too.
- On EntropyEntropy without the disorder metaphor: gradients, information, heat death, and the recurring cost of keeping a life, a body, and a world in working order.
- On FasciaHow fascia actually works — the sensory organ, the sideways forces, the irreplaceable elastin, the interstitium — and the practices that genuinely change it.
